UPDATE: This plugin is now available at CFDB Releases on GitHub

This site provides documentation in support of the Contact Form to Database Plugin for WordPress. This plugin is designed to work with other plugins: Contact Form 7 and Fast Secure Contact Form. Those plugins enable you to create forms on web pages. When a form is submitted, they send you email. If you get a lot of form submissions, then you have a lot of email to sort through. What the CFDB Plugin does, is it intercepts the form submission and saves a copy of the data in the database used by your WordPress installation. An administration panel allows you to see the form submissions and export the data into various file formats. This plugin also provides shortcodes that you can use to place submitted data on your own pages and posts. Installation Since this plugin works with Contact Form 7 and Fast Secure Contact Form plugins, you should install one or both for this plugin to do anything. The easiest way to install it is to

  1. Go to your WordPress Admin page
  2. Plugins
  3. Add New button
  4. In the Search field, enter “contact form 7 to database-extension” and click the Search Plugins button
  5. Use the links to install and activate it.

It is licensed under GPLv3. Download This plugin’s code is available on its page on WordPress.org but it is easier to simply install it from within your WordPress Admin page (see Installation above). Author The author created this plugin initially as a volunteer effort to assist a non-profit with its WordPress site. He figured that others could use this as well so he made it freely available to all WordPress users. Since then, he has been implementing many enhancements and feature requests that have come from the general WordPress public at no charge. This plugin is developed and maintained solely by one person who does not get paid for his work. If you want to throw him a bone, click the Donate button. Thank you!
